Vintage Elgin Sportsman Self Winding Watch 17 Jewel, 1950’s & Still Working

Ten (10) 1980s quartz watches, ladies. New old stock, no idea if they still work. The first six photos have each watch photographed once, front and back. 8 of them are Galaxie Elgin. Marked Galaxie Elgin on back of the case too.They are 18 to 19 mm. Of these 3 are gold colored, 5 are silver colored. Three have the original protective stick around back and one has a bit of glue residue on back from the original sticker. One Nelsonic ladies watch, cushion shape, 26 by 22 mm yellow with original protective sticker. One Waltham ladies watch 22 mm. yellow with original protective sticker. All with bracelets, the Nelsonic being an integrated bracelet’case design. Cosmetically close to new, no idea which, if any, run.

ELGIN ENAMEL “USA” DIAL ORIGINAL CHROMED CASE AND SERVICED 1931

Here’s a nice clean piece from the American factory of Elgin and well serviced. This is a bit on the hard side to fid enamel Elgin “USA” dial and it is in ok condition with a few repairs around the edge but not earth shattering at all. This is a 3 piece chromed case and it is the original case to this Elgin 3/0 movement and original enamel black USA dial. From lug to lug this Elgin case is 35mm long and wide less the crown it is 30mm. The case back is a snap in and the case serial number is 8,365,710 and the back is worn. The movement is well serviced and as you can see by the scan it is spotless and keeps nice reliable time. This is a stem wind and stem set movement and there are 7 clean and inspected jewels. The serial number for this movement is 33,247,579 which places this Elgin USA dial to the year 1931. The band is leather at 16mm across and new never worn.
