Christopher Ward C65 Trident 41mm Diver Blue (07/2020) WH1204

CW first dipped their toe into the ‘retro dive’ water in mid 2018 with the hand-wound C65 Trident Diver, which was available with either blue, green or black face at a cost of £700. Unlike the previous two C65s, which were variations of C60s, the C65 Trident Diver was an all-new design and it proved to be an instant hit, paving the way for all manner of new models and special editions and arguably challenging the C60 for the most popular model crown.

This was also the first diver to use the Light Catcher case, bringing a more sculpted profile to a category that had previously been more utilitarian in CW’s lineup. The Royal Navy Naval crown is deeply stamped into the stainless steel caseback and is the only explicit reference to the Service.

There were strong divers and interesting one‑offs, but nothing that really nailed the idea of a watch you could put on every morning and not think about. The design was clean without being dull, the proportions were well judged and the watch felt solid without feeling precious.

Christopher Ward C8 UTC Worldtimer DLC (undated) WH1558

Why Ward Hoard?. In case you weren’t already aware, the fourth hand (with the red arrow) takes 24 hours to complete one trip around the dial, making it a great travel partner. Fitted with a lightly used tan CW tiber leather strap.

Christopher Ward C70MC ‘The Monte Carlo’ Limited Edition 274/500

Christopher Ward C70MC ‘The Monte Carlo’ Purchased from new in 2012 and given the age, I think it’s in fairly good condition. This has been used, I have enjoyed it but I can only have so many watches. Complete set with box and certificate. Limited edition numbered 274/500. Fully working, I’ve had the battery changed multiple times but have never had this serviced. Last battery changed wasn’t pressure sealed, DO NOT BUY AND WEAR UNDER WATER! It’s keeping time fine in my mind but I cannot test this on a machine etc. Box has been stored well over the years but as you’ll see, unfortunately the faux red leather interior is peeling. Happy to send further images upon request.
